'Lee Anthony Thackray AKA The Author'

Born August 30th 1973 in a hospital in Reading to a working class family, he became the youngest son of an East End London father and a Welsh mother, having 2 elder brothers. The family moved after a year from London to Edinburgh because of his father’s work. The family moved a few times and after a stint in Sandhurst they finally settled in Essex, until this day he is still to be found in this region.

His early education began in a small local school in Gt Dunmow in Essex and took place before ‘Maggie took the milk and biscuits away’. Educational life was not the most pleasant experience for him due to the fact he was considered to be ‘very thick’. This thickness was verified with his 11 plus test results. Condemned to a local comprehensive school he reached the dizzy heights of an outcast remedial class ‘frowned upon by teachers and other pupils alike’. During this time he starting writing poems and even managed to win an interschool competition much to the amazement of all. His parents considering their child to be artistic and quite able sent him to privet reading and writing classes where he fortunately at least developed a love of reading. Unable to deduce the flaw in his inability to regurgitate his teachings under exam conditions he left school fit to collect bins ‘as was his career teacher advice’.

A life of full time manual labor began in 1989 at the age of 16 as a stone mason ‘his father pulled some strings!’. Having been sent to Sunday school during his adolescence and having worked on churches doing day release from school, he found himself once more in churches where he inevitably picked up that ‘little black book’ and considered its worth. Some might say this was the point where his conviction that anything was possible was born. This conviction was founded not because he believed in Christ, but because he conceived that the world had been so vastly affected by a single book.

In an attempt to further his education he began studying religions and the practices our race have created around them. Seeing a connection between religion, societies and the methods used to rule people he wondered what underlying processes where really at work. Walking out in to the world attempting to answer this question awakened him to the beauty and brutality of human kind. After seeking out the most extreme examples of human conduct he was force to conclude that as a race we are fundamentally very lost inside. He found himself needing to analyze human psychology to understand why we do what we do. He deduced that if you could conceive the pattern that creates a society’s construction then you could theoretically create the right conditions to form the correct environment for a nation of balanced and ethical people. He believes that if you could create this ‘balanced’ environment then people would naturally become more moral, conscious and at peace.

Darwin entered the equation and an appreciation of natural life filled Lees mind. Nature and the world around him become more vivid, alive and interconnected. Seeking to understand the process of life further he ventured alone to the jungles, mountains, deserts, rivers and paths across this world. In Africa after scuba diving and witnessing the incredible bio diversity he felt compelled to become a diving instructor. This was the first time he was faced with the acquisition of knowledge for a defined reason. It was at this time a friend mother ‘a teacher of troubled children’ saw him writing a poem and studied it. She brought him some test papers and he completed them. At last the reason for his thickness was found, after all these years they deduced he was ‘just dyslexic’. To his amazement he managed to pass his diving exams because of dedication and dearly loving the subject matter.

After many years of venturing across the globe he found returning to England had become far less enjoyable. He looked at the way the people in this country work to earn, spend and accumulate possessions and found it oppressive and horrifying. Seeing the damage the process of producing a vast array of unneeded materialistic possessions was having on environment and planet he deemed the situation as being completely unacceptable.

Entering a new phase he took courses on public speaking, begin studying marine biology, took classes at a spiritualist collage and begin questioning everyone around him to see what they thought the answer to life the universe and everything was. The sad conclusion he drew is that we are in general a mindless race seeking to just earn, buy, spend, reproduce and consume “things" and nothing more. He stopped watching TV, buying newspapers and listening to the radio in an attempt to see if people will become more ‘aware’ and if you removed them from the saturations of the '3 mediums’. A thought dawned in his mind ‘that little black book’, bloody hell a book changed this world once is there any reason why a country could not be change with the written word again now!!!

At 24 he decided to dedicate his life to conceiving a way to use the written word to change the country he lives in. The necessity to do so was born because of his complete and utter love of the soil that bore his existence. (This earth gave us the gift of life and should be protected for those who are to come ‘it’s our duty he adamantly proclaims’).

The production of the Law of averages began 16 years ago. From the outset a self-education plane was formed to allow the writer to understand the perspective of as wide a field of people as possible. Through intentionally taking actions that lead to criminal convictions, joining fringe and hard line groups, undertaking acts contrary to this entire capitalistic society ideals he sought to learn. He also just like the rest of us lived and consumed, played the materialistic game and worked like a Dog to prevent alienating himself from his own culture.

Selflessly actions for others have been the cornerstones to allow him to remain sane in this mad world. Throughout his life thus far he has attempted to CPR around 15 people who had died, 4 of whom are alive today because of his actions. He pulled one woman out of a fire to save her life, has gone in to conflict areas in this world to help people without any support or back up. He also sets up and organizes small charity events once or twice a year doing extreme challenges to raise money ‘just encase there is a god to answer to’

The author has also had a fair share of opportunities to acquired fame if he so desired: His band ‘Astral Body’ was approached by EMI 10 years ago. He went through the Channel 4 auditions for the Big brother show 5 years ago. He has appeared on nation television on the Chanel 4 sex in the 90’s documentary and has even done some male modeling!!. His writing credentials not so amazing to date, i.e. won a inter school poetry competition at age 11, has had 5 or 6 poems published about 10 years ago in small prints and still has around 2000 unseen and unpublished ones.

The reason he has thus far not sought any form of fame is because all the emphasis of his life has been dedicated to the production of the Law of Averages forsaking all other things. To know and understand the dedication, belief and conviction behind this work you would need to make his acquaintance ‘that’s if you can’t already sense it’

As for the book itself, Lee has self published 333 books with the vast majority of the first 2 chapters in them. These 333 books have been produced so they may be given to certain target people and organizations he has specifically chosen. He intends to attract public attention with this distribution and set on a publicity campaign to seek the right publishing contract. The 3rd chapter as yet has remained unseen. The last chapter has very powerful and extremely controversial content. There’s very little doubt it will seriously upset the powers that be in this nation.

He is also seeking to have a documentary made to follow the series of event that now transpire as he takes the book to the people. Thus there is a choice being presented ‘if you wish to be involved in the release of one of the most dramatic books that has ever been written’ you should act.
